1. Our Commitment

Habeeto is built with privacy and transparency in mind. We do not sell, rent, share, or in any way maliciously use your personal data. Your data exists solely to make the app work for you. We will never monetize your information or provide it to advertisers.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

The core of Habeeto runs entirely on your device. The following data is stored locally and never transmitted unless you use optional cloud features:

  • Habit definitions and tracking entries
  • Daily check-in records
  • Goal configurations and progress
  • Achievement and streak data
  • App settings and preferences (theme, language, notification time)
  • Profile photo (stored locally, never uploaded)

You can use all core habit tracking features without creating an account or signing in.

3. Accounts and Authentication

When you use social features (challenges, leaderboards), Habeeto creates an anonymous account automatically. No personal information is required for this.

You may optionally sign in with Google or Apple to secure your account. When you do:

  • Email address: Collected from your Google or Apple account for authentication purposes only. We do not use your email for marketing, newsletters, or any purpose other than identifying your account. We do not send you emails.
  • Display name: You choose a name to show on challenge leaderboards. This is visible to other challenge participants.

Signing in is entirely optional. You can participate in challenges as a guest without providing any personal information.

4. Data Stored in the Cloud

When you use social features, the following data is stored on our servers (Google Cloud / Firebase):

  • User ID: An anonymous identifier for your account
  • Display name and avatar: Visible to other participants on challenge leaderboards
  • Challenge data: Your challenge entries (a number and date), memberships, and earned rewards
  • Language preference: To show challenge content in your language
  • Push notification token: To deliver challenge notifications (if you enable them)

This data is used exclusively to provide the challenge and social features of the app. We do not sell, share, or use this data for any other purpose.

5. Cloud Backup

Habeeto offers optional cloud backup to Google Drive (Android) or iCloud (iOS). When enabled:

  • Your habit data is encrypted and stored in your personal cloud storage account
  • We do not have access to your backup data — it lives in your own Google Drive or iCloud
  • You can disable or delete your backup at any time

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Habeeto offers optional premium subscriptions. All payments are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, billing details, or account credentials.

7. Analytics and Crash Reporting

Habeeto collects anonymous, aggregated usage data to help improve the app:

  • General usage patterns (which features are used, screen views)
  • Crash reports and performance data
  • Device type and operating system version

This data is anonymous and cannot be linked to you personally. We do not track your habits, personal content, or behavior across other apps. Habeeto does not contain advertisements or ad tracking tools.

8. Third-Party Services

Habeeto uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

  • Firebase (Google Cloud): Authentication, database, cloud functions, push notifications, crash reporting, and analytics
  • Google Sign-In: Optional authentication (only if you choose to sign in)
  • Apple Sign-In: Optional authentication (only if you choose to sign in)
  • Apple App Store / Google Play Store: Subscription management

We do not share your data with any other third parties. We do not use data brokers, advertising networks, or tracking services.

9. Notifications

Daily habit reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Challenge notifications (new members, status changes) are delivered via Firebase Cloud Messaging. You can disable all notifications in the app settings or your device settings at any time.

10. Account Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app:

Profile → scroll to bottom → Delete Account

Deletion is permanent and immediate. It removes:

  • Your Firebase authentication account
  • Your user profile from our database
  • All challenge memberships and entries
  • All pending rewards
  • Push notification subscriptions

Local data on your device is not affected by account deletion — delete the app to remove local data.

11. Children's Privacy

Habeeto does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app's social features use anonymous accounts by default and do not require any personal information to use.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
